Otelyssey plugin for Grok Build

Community plugin, built for Grok BuildPluginObservability & Monitoring

OpenTelemetry plugins for every coding agent, in the Agent Plugins format — a marketplace that runs itself: open an issue, the repository validates, reviews, lists and follows your plugin.

How to install Otelyssey in Grok Build

1. Add this repo as a plugin marketplace in Grok Build (once per computer):

grok plugin marketplace add using-system/otelyssey

2. Install the plugin:

grok plugin install arize-phoenix@using-system/otelyssey --trust
✓ Install-checked in Grok Buildchecked Oct 18, 2026

Review before you trust it. --trust lets this plugin's hooks, MCP servers and scripts run code on your computer. It's a community repo that neither xAI nor GrokStacks has reviewed, so read its code first.

This repo's marketplace has 13 plugins; we checked arize-phoenix, dynatrace-managed-mcp, langwatch. Install another the same way: grok plugin install <name>@using-system/otelyssey --trust (names under 'What it contains'). Then start a new Grok session, or press r in /plugins, to load it.

Inside Grok Build: type /plugins, open the Marketplace tab, press a and add using-system/otelyssey, then select arize-phoenix and press i.

Command format: Grok Build's plugin guide

Runs a local MCP server (with npx, uvx or similar), so that tool needs to be installed, for example Node.js for npx.

What we checked: on Oct 18, 2026 it installed with grok 1.0.62 and Grok found 2 skills. That's an install check only: we haven't run it in a live Grok session.

What it contains

Skills (2)

  • dynatrace-managed — Set up and query Dynatrace Managed (self-hosted) through the Dynatrace Managed MCP server - configuring cluster connections and API tokens, choosing the right environment when several are configured, and building entity selectors for logs,
  • langwatch — Read LLM traces back from LangWatch with the langwatch CLI. Use when asked what an agent, prompt or model call actually did in production, when debugging a failed or slow LLM run, when looking up a trace or session by id, or when checking w

Plugins in this marketplace (13)

  • arize-phoenix — Connect to your Phoenix instance to debug, evaluate, and improve LLM applications.

  • langwatch — Records which repository and branch each coding-agent session worked in, and teaches the agent to read its own traces back from LangWatch.
  • observability — Opinionated guidance for clear and operationally useful OpenTelemetry instrumentation.
  • oddyssey — CLI toolbox for Observability-Driven Development (ODD): coding agents observe local runs on an OpenTelemetry/Grafana stack - or remote ones on any OpenTelemetry backend - and feed the next spec-driven improvement loop.
  • opentelemetry-agent-skills — Vendor-neutral OpenTelemetry skills for AI coding agents, grounded in upstream sources: SDK setup per language, the Collector and OCB, OTTL, declarative configuration, semantic conventions, upgrades and migrations.
  • pup — Datadog API CLI with 49 command groups, 300+ subcommands. Skills and domain agents for monitoring, logs, APM, security, and infrastructure.

  • sumo-logic — Query Sumo Logic logs, alerts, dashboards, and SIEM insights directly from Copilot. Connects to the Sumo Logic MCP server for natural language observability investigations.
  • vllm-on-tap — Serve vLLM presets on demand - locally, Kubernetes (KServe), Azure (Container Apps), AWS (ECS) or GCP (Cloud Run) - with their traces over OTLP, and tear them down again.
